21 years since that attack on America!!!

I will never forget! I hope you will join me in a moment of silence for the United States of America as we go through another very tough time now AND look back at that time too!
Before this wild realization struck me this morning… I wanted to invite you each to see this weeks progress!!!
I couldn’t stand the poor application I had made of Dallas Darling… so I took it off this week and added “Renew Hope” a special color made which proceeds going to defend against child abuse!!!

Such a pretty color and so easy to apply!!!
Here’s all the new colors I got this week!

Most of my week has been spent doing housework … and quilting at my frame!!! Then I took a detour and made some simple valances to go with the new-to-us ceiling fan my honey got mounted this week too!

We thought they turned out quite nice!!!
Here are pics now of my main focus this week… slow stitching!!! Linking this to Kathy’s Slow Stitching Crew HERE!!! Kathy shares her and her daughters’ finished projects 🙂
I started my week here…

Unfortunately I didn’t snap a shot of the end of the quilting on that row before rolling!!!

I love my life here in the North Carolina mountains and I hope wherever you live you will stop over to Kathy’s at the link above and take in all the incredible slow stitching this week!!! I love my Sunday posts and a time to reflect on my progress!
Make sure to come back next week though as things will get shaken up around here once this quilt exits the frame!

Have a blessed week my friends!!!

Your new valances look very nice with the new ceiling fan. Do you line your valances? I didn’t used to until they fell apart from sunshine. You are so close to a finish with your hand quilting, you’ll be have this quilt in your bed this autumn! We’re all different, I can’t hand quilt with long finger nails but you obviously have no problem with it. Your nails do look very nice. Thanks for the reminder about 9-11. We live in a whole different world now from then.

Thanks for sharing your quote about walking with God–isn’t that the truth?! My husband and I are so thankful that He’s walking with us right now, down a path we didn’t anticipate. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!

We well remember September 11th all the way here in New Zealand, although we are quite a few hours ahead in time. It was my husband’s birthday and we were out for dinner with friends. When it was time to pay for our meals, the machine wasnt working so it was quite a hassle. We found out the next day that it was because all Visa payments at that time were routed through the Twin Towers and of course the disaster was unfolding. We went home to bed oblivious of the tragedy and were only aware next morning when it was all over the news. Such a terrible time.
