Happy November 2020!

Hope your November is starting out well today… we are a bit chilly but the rain from a bit tropical storm that left us with a few downed trees has passed so we are pleased πŸ™‚

With final arrangements of our house sale coming into focus… we have an appraisal next week and closing the week of Thanksgiving… it is time to house shop soon! YAY πŸ™‚

In the meantime… I have been quilting a lot on Appalachian Delight as I look for homes and talk to realtors and ponder more about how I want my new sewing room to be.

Look what I saw when I rolled early this week!!! The top of the quilt πŸ™‚ DOUBLE YAY!!! So I have been busy quilting some more to finish this quilt!!!

Above is the view of all that has been accomplished… and below is what is left to finish before I can roll πŸ˜€

Just 6 swag designs to big stitch quilt in burgandy and I will be rolling!!!

So I am linking this fun quilty progress to Kathy’s Slow Sunday Stitching crew… Come on over HERE <<< to see what other slow stitchers are up to and get INSPIRED!!!

As for my health… I am in week 2 of the new medicine and can tell less seizures are occurring and I am aware of when they do occur now which is strange but I prefer that over not knowing at all! lol I still am not doing anything potentially dangerous… I will let the neurologist I see in a few weeks give me the green light for sewing, driving, and having time alone. But freedom is coming soon! Rick even went and ran an errand late this week without me because we both felt okay with that! πŸ˜€

I also went and voted on Friday…. I was proud to support the voting process and stand up for what I think would be best for America at this point in dealing with so many different things. And if this doesn’t make any difference this time around… I will recall this tattoo I saw on Pinterest a few weeks back….

The sun will always rise again…
God’s promises are sure!

Do you have any plans for November 2020???

Are you planning a family gathering that is somehow safe??? Or are you planning to lay low like us ?? It is quite scary to be searching in homes this time of our lives with Covid being so rampant across America.. please make safe choices y’all!

I love hearing from each of you and hope you make time to leave a reply … have a safe and happy November!

There’s nothing like being able to see the top of the quilt to get the quilting enthusiasm going again! So glad you’re seeing some improvement with your seizures. Happy stitching!

So happy to hear your new meds are starting to work for you! How exciting to be near the end of your quilt. So pretty and it’ll be fun to use in your new home! When you tour new homes, don’t touch anything and wear your mask. You may want to get the n95 for house hunting. I can’t wait to see where you and Rick will settle. Plus I go through Asheville on my trips to TN, so maybe we can finally meet in person! I can’t WAIT for this election to be over! Win, lose, or draw, our country needs help from above! May God bless us all with the right person to lead.

Glad to hear the meds are helping. And almost finished with another quilt – you are a quilting beast. Hope you can find a new home that serves you well. I have hosted all the family holidays since we moved back to TX. That’s one reason we picked this house. It has two living areas and we added a screened patio, so lots of room for the 25 or so that usually come over. I took the hard step and have cancelled Thanksgiving here. I’ll still cook for hubby and me, but we just didn’t feel safe having everyone here. Haven’t decided about Christmas. Have a good week and have fun looking for that new house.

Oh my the end is near always a good feeling! I hope all goes well with the sale of your home and you find the perfect place to settle down again. Glad your medication is calming things down! Thanks for sharing that tattoo. This year has been crazy and it’s a good thing to remind ourselves that we just need to settle down and make good use of each day!

Some great things happening at your house: closing date, quilt to be finished, new meds working, the ability to start house hunting online, many many blessings! I think getting some N-95 masks to use during house hunting would be a very wise move, then you can relax and look without so much worry. I am thrilled that the meds are giving you noticeable relief, thank you God! Now let’s get you moved and back with the HQAL group!!

I would think house hunting will be ok with wearing a mask and sanitizing – most times no one is at home and you just meet the realtor and no one else is around – don’t touch anything – I have seen some news clips here and there where people put gloves on before they go in the front door so that they can open cupboards and closets and then dispose of the gloves immediately as they leave into a plastic bag. I hope you finish the quilt before it is ready to move which is I’m sure what you are hoping to do. glad the medication is working and there are less seizures – low key holidays planned here

We have been staying at home since March except for grocery shopping and taking care of my parents. I’m a quilter so I’m fine anywhere as long as I can quilt πŸ™‚
Glad to hear your medicine is working and hope you keep feeling better. Moving is stressful, so take good care of yourself!
So exciting that you are quilting to the end of this project… the last roll must feel terrific!

I am so happy the the medicine seems to be working! You have made great progress with that gorgeous quilt. Good luck with the house hunting. We were hoping to have Thanksgiving with our moms and my children, but our governor has now put travel restrictions on for most states and I am not sure whether my children will be able to come. My daughter and her husband are good at quarantining, so they might be fine, but my son must go in to work a few days a week. We shall see. Would love to have everyone all together at least once this year.
