It seems like every month we live through this Pandemic… I am happy to see a month enter and then happier to wish it goodbye… August is definitely not different…
So as you enjoy the last days of August and get ready to welcome in September, Labor Day and Autumn… what are you most looking forward to?? I hope you will leave your thoughts on this in a comment at the end of this post 👇
September will herald in the use of WordPress for future blogging… you can find me already starting to get my WordPress account set up at…
https://designoriginalsbykc.wordpress.com/blog
However I am NOT very tech savvy and it is taking a bit of time and thought as it can be way more custom that the blogger format is.
But the detriment of the Blogger system just is taking the fun out of blogging for me… and I wanna enjoy this thing I do each Sunday morning! Just like this Bonnie-ism…
So today (Saturday) I am pre-writing my blog post to deal with posting in Blogger one last time for y’all and for me!
And I put on fresh Color Street nail strips yesterday too!
I have 7 triangles to finish quilting around on this heart.
Then I saw these awesome curtains someone made… ooooh makes me want some quilted curtains now!!! How about you??!!
And I have a great group of different colored plaids in all different sizes…
Or would you be more inclined to add solid centers and do something like this in a queen finish???
I am pondering the two with the plaids I was gifted by a dear friend of mine.. I wanna make it a quilt for our bed from these fabrics ..or do you know a pattern that would lend itself to this grouping of plaids???
And as a pediatric nurse … I can totally see a K or 1st grader coming out of school from a long day with a different mask than you sent them in with…
This C. S. Lewis quote speaks volumes to me in the period of time we are in TODAY! Can’t we change the ending we are currently in starting NOW??!!
Personally, I prefer the first of the two queen-sized quilts. I find it more restful. Thanks for the new link to your blog. I added it to my blog list. I will be trying my Glamsterdam polish tomorrow! Love the memes.

the thing I like the most of fall is the cooler weather! I so look forward to fall and then by January all I want is spring – so glad we have a short winter and not really bad. I really thing the months have been going by fast this year and heaven knows why because I am mostly home. I like the second quilt picture you show in the plaids and yes I can see kids trading masks, taking them off and deliberately breathing on each other. It is the nature of kids

Your almost finished with the wall hanging, they'll love it. The heart one is cute too, bet they'd be pleased with that one if you can track down the pattern. I'm always sad to see summer leave, I love the hot weather, fresh juicy tomatoes, walking barefoot in the grass and the crisp smell of freshly clothesline dried towels and sheets. Hope WordPress works out for you! Happy stitching!

How funny that you should ask about that heart pattern today–I had an email from Quilt in a Day with their daily sales, and I think they have the same pattern on sale today (or something very similar.) It is called Exploding Heart by Slice of Pi Quilts, available for $7 at QIAD today.

I added your new blog to my Reader. I have considered moving too, but I had moved back to Legacy Blogger before the cutoff time, so I will stay where I am right now I think. I got my fall stuff down yesterday and out. I love seeing my fall quilts hanging on the wall! Have a great week!

September is one of my favorite months. The weather is still warm, nights are cooler, less humidity and blue skies. Sunflowers seem to be popular this week. Sorry you had trouble with new blogger. Plaid quilts are always interesting and you have some nice ones to work with. Have not seen the heart block on my online travels. I understand why you'd like to make one for your daughter. Very good C.S. Lewis quote. Wish you the best on Word Press and look forward to seeing you on that blogging platform.

I haven’t blogged all year so I can’t relate to the blogger problems. But I am seeing quite a few people expressing their frustrations about it. I’d probably never figure it out! I’m ready for fall… last year I was sad to see summer leave. This has been a fast year, especially considering all the time spent at home. You would think the year had passed slowly, but not so for me. I want to stock my pantry and hibernate and sew!
