Early last week I had all the pieces of the stuffy I was making for my sweet Ellie for her 1st birthday…
This kind of pattern comes with LOTS of hand stitching in the beginning…..
I was happy to have such a great strong machine though.. as this stuffy was thick and needed a heavy duty machine like Cleopatra my Singer 319w!!!
I did also spend a bit of time on my red work…..
And the second bear paw over is where I stopped last night on Appalachian Delight…
In my search for a more comprehensive yet smaller sized book on embroidery….
I unearthed this in my stash …. And it is hard backed but has spiral binding inside…
And it comes with such a fun way of chatting…
Lori Holt has come out with a new pattern…
I love what she is using as a bed runner as a baseline idea for flowers for a spring table runner next spring!!!
Remember the meaning for those in the USA for Memorial Day… I time to remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice to maintain our freedoms we have come to expect in the USA.
So as I close… and let this weekend slide away into next week … stay well and safe <<< People are still dying from Covid 19 here in the US as we begin to return to a new normal. What does it look like where you live? Do you see lots of masks on others when you go out.. do you wear a mask when you go out around others???
We have some masks seen in this part of North Carolina but not enough for me yet!

I am intrigued with your sweet Ellie's stuffie and the red work stitchery is coming along beautifully. I too have that Judith Montana Bakers, Elegant Stitches book. I have referred to it many times over the years. Down here in Australia no-one is really wearing masks, though we are still practising social distancing when out and about. We haven't experienced the numbers of deaths from Covid-19 here as you have in the US. I will be thinking of you this Memorial Day weekend.

Glad to see you're still making quilting progress on AD. I'm sure Ellie will be thrilled with the frog. I honestly don't know if people are wearing masks or not in my area, I haven't left home since I went grocery shopping several weeks ago.Places are opening back up and our church is meeting today for the first time since March. We won't be going, still staying home, still staying safe. If the virus slows down, we may venture out the first of July.Have a lovely week of stitching/quilting fun!

No way enough masks here either–and not a lot of social distancing–so we are still isolating except for grocery runs here in SE CT.I have that embroidery book–it is super–good instruction and great examples… ~ ~ ~ waving in the milky sunshine Julierose

Loving your redwork and quilting! Cute little frog for Ellie! I’d say about 50% are wearing masks here. I only wear them where required. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it all. Like now they are saying it will be seasonal. It’s a new virus; how can they know that already? My hubby had to get tested because he was supposedly exposed (to what we now think was a false positive friend). Thankfully hubby is negative. Im exhausted from thinking about it! Ready for it to go away like SARS and Ebola and all those others!

we wear masks when we go to the store which is the only place we have been here in Arkansas – we are still having cases and they are increasing here instead of going away – partly caused by foolish people who thing we will not get it in our smaller populated state! I would say maybe a third of the people are wearing masks because as I have actually heard people in the grocery store say \”I'm not afraid of this-it's just the flu\” how people can still be saying that is beyond me!! I am ready for this to go away but I think it will be some time to come.

Love your projects! I am in Western NC as well, and like you do not see nearly enough people wearing masks. I'm staying home for the most part, and I wear a mask anytime I go out.

Love the stuffie pics. I wear a mask in public. My son does also. He thinks it's cool. My husband does not. I think about 1/3 of the people I see in stores in Ohio have masks on (correctly.)

Lovely projects! I have that Judith Baker Montano book. I have taken a couple of her classes and enjoyed them immensely. She even signed all my books! I wear a mask in public, and made one for my husband to wear when he went to the dentist the other day, as they requested. He hasn't been out of the house since January 28th. Quite a few people here in Northern California where I am wear masks, like I do, and quite a few don't. And our numbers have been going up the past week. We were down to 1 person hospitalized in our county, and we are now back up to 7 with 2 in the ICU!

P.S. Where I live, metro Detroit, everyone is wearing masks including at outdoor nurseries. It is rare to see someone without a mask.

Lovely to see your hand stitched projects! The redwork coffee pot with the red gingham is just delightful! About a quarter of the people here are wearing masks, and it's going to be harder in the summer because of the heat, so we'll see how it goes with the virus spread… it's much worse in the cities.
