In just 3 days I took this fabric & template…
And made this flimsy on Gloria … my Singer 301A…
Picked out my binding & thread…
Hand quilted each dresden blade…
Then used my BIAS made binding from THIS tutorial… it took most of a 1/2 yard cut too!
And hand stitched that all down…
Yep, I remembered to add a label at the last minute too π
And pre-washed “Tah dah”!!!!
The top tie I wanted sturdy so I designed it as part of the binding… but the decorative tie below is the satin ribbon that held the inspirational 7 fat quarters I started with as explained on this blog post!
Here is just a fun shot of the front and back of this cute Christmas Tree Skirt…
So I will be showing off this darling tree skirt on my tree on my blog later in the week… But it will be enjoyed Christmas morning!!!Β I am posting this as I wanted to share with you and Bonnie Hunter too on her Christmas Eve linky Party here π
There is so much I haven’t shared or couldn’t share all of so follow me as there is lots of fun quilty stuff to come!
Happy Christmas Eve from my home to yours π
