I thought when my Christmas shipping was over I could focus on the wall hanging and start on the batik quilt that was to be next…
Then these came in the mail!
And some from my stash… but I had not much in the Christmas fabric stash department…
I found 7 fat quarters for $7.00 o eBay so I went for them… when they arrived they even came tied with a bow and they are Andover brand and really fun to hand quilt I figured 🙂
So what design to go with… I wound up looking at this video for my inspiration after narrowing down my ideas based on what I had available to me to work with and what design me and my honey both liked after googling a bit! lol 🙂
And the ribbon that came with it is satin… so I put it with the binding so I can add a tie to the open edges to hold them closed and always recall this bit of good luck I found searching eBay early one morning! lol
Here are what the beginning of the hand quilting looks like so far…
And check out this cute ornament that came in the mail for our tree for Daisy 🙂
Capo, has an ornament from the groomers she went to but Daisy doesn’t require grooming and never got one… til now 🙂
Bonnie is having a special linky party tomorrow so I will be writing a new post with all my progress this week on it..

Here’s hoping for a finish!
neat tree skirt – I really need to either finish the one I have under the tree right now or make a new one – I never got around to binding the one I have! talk about lazy – one year I had it about finished but not in time so I put it under the tree as is with the intention of finishing the binding after Xmas, it got put in the box with the tree instead and so and so on – it has never gotten finished.

Very pretty! Way to use the ribbon that came with. I always reuse ribbons and gift bags and even selvages. The tree skirt is all christmasy.
